Diamond Cover & Aftercare
Every new Kimaty Diamonds jewellery purchase automatically includes five-year diamond replacement cover and two complimentary jewellery services each year for ten years. No registration or special receipt endorsement is required.
Who provides the cover?
The provider is KD3 Global Ltd, trading as Kimaty Diamonds, company number 16656416, registered in England and Wales. Our registered office and showroom are at 366 Stratford Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham, B11 4AB. Contact info@kimatydiamonds.com or +44 7555 580060.
When your benefits start
Each purchased item has its own benefit periods, starting when you receive its order invoice. Buying another item does not extend the periods for an earlier purchase or combine cover across orders. The benefits apply automatically to new purchases made under these terms; they do not retrospectively replace the terms of earlier purchases.
Keep your invoice or other purchase evidence. If you cannot find your invoice, contact us with the details you have so we can try to locate the order. There is no requirement for the invoice to carry a separate cover statement.
Five-year diamond replacement cover
If a diamond becomes detached and is lost from your purchased Kimaty diamond jewellery through a non-accidental cause within five years of receiving the order invoice, we will replace the covered diamond free of charge following inspection. This includes both the main centre diamond and smaller accent diamonds. The jewellery must not have damage that caused or contributed to the loss.
Replacement includes the diamond and the work required to fit it securely under an accepted claim. We will match the original diamond's recorded specification as closely as reasonably possible, including its natural or laboratory-grown origin. If an exact match is unavailable, we will explain the proposed equivalent and agree it with you before proceeding.
What this diamond-only cover does not include
- Loss or theft of the whole item of jewellery.
- Accidental damage, or a diamond lost because the ring or setting was damaged, bent, struck or otherwise compromised.
- A chipped or broken diamond that remains in place, rather than a diamond that has become detached and lost.
- Unrelated metal repairs, resizing, replating or cosmetic restoration.
A superficial mark unrelated to the diamond's loss does not by itself invalidate cover. An alteration or repair by someone else is not an automatic exclusion: we assess whether it caused or contributed to the loss. We will explain the findings of our inspection if we consider a claim outside the cover.
Servicing is not a condition of diamond cover
You do not need to attend regular servicing to retain the five-year diamond replacement cover. We encourage you to stop wearing jewellery if a stone moves, a claw catches or damage is suspected, and contact us for advice.
Two complimentary services each year for ten years
Each newly purchased jewellery item is entitled to two complimentary services in each successive twelve-month period beginning when you receive its order invoice, for ten years. These include a condition inspection, professional cleaning with a specialist jewellery-cleaning solution, ultrasonic cleaning where suitable, and detailed cleaning beneath diamonds and around the internal parts of their settings.
The aim is to remove accumulated residue and revive the jewellery's appearance. We select the cleaning method for the stones, treatments and condition of the piece. Cleaning does not remove internal diamond inclusions. Repairs, resizing, rhodium replating and replacement parts are separate unless they form part of an accepted covered claim. We will obtain your agreement to any chargeable work before starting it.
Showroom and postal servicing
You may bring the item to our showroom or contact us to arrange postal servicing. Please obtain the current sending instructions before posting. We will confirm any postage or insurance charges before you agree to the arrangement; the complimentary service itself remains free.
Where you independently arrange a carrier to send jewellery to us for voluntary servicing, you are responsible for suitable packaging and arranging cover appropriate to the item's full value. Check that the carrier specifically accepts and covers jewellery. We do not accept responsibility for loss in that customer-arranged transit before the item reaches us, except where the law makes us responsible or the loss results from our act or omission.
This does not exclude responsibility for our negligence, loss while the jewellery is in our care, delivery obligations for goods we sell, or rights relating to faulty goods. Where we arrange a carrier or return shipment, the applicable responsibilities and any charges will be explained in advance; this paragraph does not transfer responsibilities that legally remain with us.
How to request a replacement or service
- Contact us with your name, order details and the jewellery concerned.
- For a missing diamond, describe what happened and send clear photographs if available.
- Arrange an inspection at the showroom or follow the agreed postal instructions.
- We will explain the assessment, proposed work and expected timing before proceeding.
These benefits are additional to your statutory rights, which are not affected. A statutory claim is not restricted to the five-year cover period or made conditional on servicing. If you disagree with an assessment, ask us to review it using the contact details above. See our Terms & Conditions.
